Quality Improvement Plan
In June 2010, the Ontario Government passed the Excellent Care of All Act. This legislation fosters a culture of continuous quality improvement where the needs of patients come first. As a requirement of the Act, health care organziations, such as Stevenson Memorial Hospital, must develop a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) which highlights the organization's commitment to:
Quality Improvment Plans provide a meaningful way for our organization to clearly articulate our accountability to our community, patients and our staff. The QIP will allow our organization to clearly see our targeted areas for improvement and rate our progress. The QIP and the Part B spreadsheet include many terms that our community may not be familiar with.
