PART TIME ECHO TECHNICIAN - CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER

An opportunity exists in our Outpatient Clinics for a regular part time Echo Technician - Cardiac Sonographer.  This position is one 7.5 hour shift per week.

Requirements:

  • Must have RDCS or CCDCS certificiate
  • Certification with ARDMS or CARDUP
  • Experienced in transeophageal/stress dobutamine echo
  • Previous hospital experience
  • 5 years current related experience preferred
  • Excellent judgement skills

FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT - STEVENSON MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation has a temporary opportunity for a part time Fundraising Assistant (to August 2011).  This is a part time, 22.5 hour a week contract position, reporting to the SMHF Fundraising Coordinator.  Hours will vary depending on events and projects and will include days, evenings and some weekends.

This position provides administrative and fundraising support to the Fundraising Coordinator and Fundraising Committees of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation.  This position provides occasional reception support for the Foundation Office.

Performance Requirements:

  • Organize meetings, including: collection of agenda items; follow up on action items; preparation and distribution of agenda packages; recording, production and distribution of minutes
  • Coordinate calendar for community booth displays and presentations, book venues and schedule volunteers, attend all foundation events as required
  • Develop and maintain an effective filing system (paper -based and electronic)
  • Maintain inventories of office supplies, program and marketing materials
  • Assist the fundraising team in preparing mail-outs to the foundation's sponsors, donors, supporters and partners
  • Database entry and report generation
  • Photocopying, faxing and general day to day administration
  • Monitor donor recognition and prepare call sheets, certificates, as suitable

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Completion of Administrative Assistant program from a recognized Community College or a combination of education and 1 - 2 years work experience in a Development Office-Administrative Role
  • Proficiency in Blackbaud's The Raiser's Edge database and report generation an asset
  • Strong computer literacy skills - MS Office Suite eg. Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher
  • 50 - 60 wpm with high accuracy
  • Skilled in research and report writing
  • Superb attention to detail, analytical skills and sound judgment; demonstrated organizational skills, in a multi-tasking enviornment
  • Pleasant telephone manner, and strong inter-personal skills
  • able to work in a team environment

CASUAL HEALTH INFORMATION CODER

An opportunity exists for a casual Health Information Coder.

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a recognized Health Information Services Program
  • Excellent knowledge of ICD - 10 Coding system required
  • Experience with current coding practices and computerized abstracting is required
  • Membership in good standing with Canadian Health Information Management Association and/or Ontario Health Information Management Association is an asset
  • Knowledge of 3M Abstracting and Codefinder is an asset
