Patients and staff at Stevenson Memorial celebrates hospital’s doctors

From hospitals to long-term care homes and from clinics to a patient’s home, Ontario’s doctors are making a difference in the lives of their patients’ everyday by providing high-quality care when it is needed.

More than 320,000 patients are treated and cared for by a doctor in Ontario every day.  At Stevenson Memorial, our Emergency physicians see more than 36,000 patients per year, while our Obstetricians deliver more than 360 babies per year.  Our Medical-Surgical unit has admitted and cared for over 2000 patients and our surgeons have completed over 2000 surgeries.

May 1st was recognized by the provincial government in 2011 as the official day of appreciation for Ontario’s medical profession. The date was chosen to mark the birthday of Canada’s first female physician, Dr. Emily Stowe.

Stevenson Memorial is a fully accredited hospital located in the Town of New Tecumseth, serving the Simcoe County community. Our mission is to help ensure that the residents of our communities can access safe, quality care where and when they need it.

Stevenson Memorial Hospital: We champion your care… every step of the way.
