Stevenson Memorial Welcomes New Year’s Baby
ALLISTON, ONTARIO – A 3552 gram (seven pound 13 oz) boy was the first baby born at Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) in 2009. He is the son of Susan and Andy Bui of Cookstown. Baby Bui made his appearance at 1956 hours (7.56 pm) on Saturday, January 3, 2009. The family received a commemorative certificate and gift book from the hospital, as well as a gift certificate from the SMH Auxiliary, a basket of baby items from the Alliston Lions Club and a gift bag. “This little boy is an amazing miracle of life and at Stevenson Memorial we are privileged to be a part of his birth. On Sunday, Judith Andrade RN, Beryl Burroughs, President of the SMH Auxiliary and Dr. Sam Olupona, the attending physician, were on hand to congratulate the parents with a presentation of gifts and special certificates. Baby Bui arrived at 7:56 pm on January 3, 2009 and weighed into the world at seven pounds 13 ounces.
