The Obstetrics Unit reopened on April 21, 2008 with Dr. Alison Barrett as lead obstetrician. In November, Dr. Glasine Lawson joined the multidisciplinary team.

The Unit has four Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Post-Partum (LDRP) rooms as well as six inpatient beds allotted for gynaecology, obstetrics and medical/surgical overflow.

Since re-opening in April, over 195 babies have been joyfully welcomed on the Unit.
