Inpatient and Outpatient Services
Inpatient ServicesStevenson Memorial Hospital is a fully accredited 36-bed acute health care facility. The hospital is located in the community of Alliston in the Town of New Tecumseth. Inpatient services include the Medical/Surgical unit and Obstetrics/Gynaecology. Figures for 2005/2006 show 2,262 admissions for 10,670 inpatient days. Outpatient ServicesIn addition to the wide scope of medical and surgical services, the hospital offers a number of comprehensive outpatient clinics and specialized services to the growing community. Audiology, diabetes, dermatology, nutrition and obstetrics are just some of the conditions covered by outpatient clinics. In addition, there is a breast screening program and a dialysis unit where dedicated and highly trained staff utilize state-of-the-art equipment to deliver care for residents of the area. Outpatient ClinicsIn 2005/06 there were 7,277 visits registered. This area is growing rapidly with new services being added to support community needs. For example, a Women’s Health Clinic has just been approved. A nurse practitioner is on-site and there is a focus primary care and chronic disease management.
