Mental Health Services
Whether you have a mental illness or are at risk of having a mental illness, Stevenson Memorial wants to help you by providing you with resources to manage any stresses that you may be facing. The Mary McGill Community Mental Health Centre provides a community based mental health service to adults, ages 16 years and up in the South Simcoe area. The services that are available include: · Crisis services (same or next day) · Counseling and treatment · Case management · Psychiatric consultation · Group and individual counselling The Mary McGill Community Mental Health Centre is located adjacent to the hospital. There is no cost incurred to clients. Referrals are accepted from both physicians for a psychiatrist’s appointment and from clients themselves. For further information, please call (705) 434-5140. The centre receives approximately 800 referrals each year. Two psychiatrists maintain courtesy privileges at the hospital. Founded in 1980, the Centre is sponsored by Stevenson Memorial Hospital and funded by the Ministry of Health. | |
